Getting Started
General
Welcome to Survival! The server is designed to preserve the core survival experience while adding systems that enhance progression, cooperation, and long-term goals — without overwhelming gameplay.
After joining, step through the Wild Portal at spawn to begin your adventure. From there, you can:
- Gather resources and build your base
- Complete jobs and earn money
- Create player shops and trade with others
- Form or join towns
Spawn acts as the central hub where players can safely trade, access shops, unlock custom enchants, and participate in community activities. Many features are optional, allowing you to play casually or focus on progression-based gameplay.
At spawn, you'll find:
- Buy and sell shops
- Custom enchant unlocks for weapons and armor
- The daily Ender Dragon event
- Crates and rewards
Claiming
To protect your land and build safely, you must first create a town using the Towny system:
/towny create <name>
Once your town is created, you can begin claiming more land:
/claim
You can also claim in a specific direction:
/claim <direction> <amount>
Jobs
Jobs allow players to earn money by completing normal survival activities. As you progress through jobs, you'll unlock bonuses, milestones, and additional rewards. Players can select or change their job at any time, encouraging varied gameplay for all types of players.
Tasks
Tasks come in two forms: Quests and Milestones.
- Quests are short objectives that reward money and experience.
- Milestones are long-term progression goals that reward dedicated play.
Completing both will reward players with items, currency, and more — making them a worthwhile venture!
NPC Shops
NPC shops at spawn allow you to sell common materials for money, purchase essential resources, and quickly convert items into currency. Different NPCs sell different items, so venture around spawn to see what they all have to offer.
Prices are stable and provide a reliable way to earn income early in the game.
Player Shops
Players can create their own shops to sell items to others within their town.
The End
Players can team up during the daily Ender Dragon event to defeat the dragon together and earn rewards. Participating grants end materials and event currency. You can spend your rewards at the shop found when you enter The End.
Elevators
Elevators allow fast vertical movement inside builds without using ladders or water columns.
To create an elevator floor, place any type of carpet on top of End Stone Bricks. Recreate this structure above or below to add additional floors. To use the elevator, stand on the block and jump or sneak to move between levels.
Fishing
Fishing in certain biomes allows players to catch custom fish and rewards. Standard biomes like rivers, plains, and beaches will yield vanilla fish, while deep oceans offer custom fish textures that can be sold at higher values.
Crates
Crates provide rewards obtained through gameplay, events, or keys. Crates can be found at spawn and offer unique rewards to help enhance the survival experience!
Enchants
Custom enchants provide additional abilities beyond vanilla Minecraft enchantments. By visiting the Enchants shop and NPC at spawn, players can purchase different tiers of enchantments and apply them to their tools, weapons, and armor. Different enchants have different success rates, which can be increased by applying a Randomizer to the enchant book.
