General

The Forge can be found in spawn. In the Forge is a Blacksmith who can be used by players to upgrade their armor using Cores (acquired by slaying bosses in the Mines). In addition to this, an anvil can be found in the Forge with the title above it reading "Refine and Restore" and can be used to restore items to their original state.
Blacksmith
The Blacksmith can upgrade players' armor to create powerful sets with unique bonuses to help players along their journey. The starting armor set will cost the player a piece of unenchanted and unaltered iron armor in exchange for the first tier of armor. Each new tier will require the last tier of armor, unenchanted and unaltered. If the item has been altered, it can be restored using the Refine and Restore anvil. In addition to requiring the previous tier of armor for each new set, upgrading armor will also cost players a core item corresponding to a different mine boss. The armor sets are listed in order from Coal to Diamond, requiring players to fight the bosses and unlock the sets in order.
Refine and Restore
By interacting with this Refine and Restore anvil with an item in the player's hand, their held item can be restored to its original state. This is necessary for upgrading armor, as enchants and name changes must be stripped of the piece before it can be traded in. Any enchantments applied to the armor will be lost. Any experience levels gone into the armor will not be refunded. Name changes will be lost. Players should take note of this and take caution before making alterations to an armor piece they soon wish to upgrade.
In addition to stripping armor of its enchantments, the Refine and Restore anvil can be used to fix items that have been changed from previous seasons and no longer work properly. If an item ceases to work as its mechanics have been altered, the item can be held while interacting with the Refine and Restore anvil to be restored to its newest version.
