In order to claim land, you must first establish a Town. You can do this by typing <code>/towny create <name></code>. Once you have a town cretaed, you can expand your claim using <code>/claim</code> or using <code>/claim <direction> <amount></code>. Each block you extend your claim with cost 1 claim. Claims are from bedrock to height limit and can only be built in by members of your town.


If you are playing with friends or want to invite players to your claim, you can do so by inviting them to your town using <code>/towny invite <name></code>. Once a player joins your town, you can give them more permissions to thing such as depositing money, claiming, etc.
To protect land and build safely, you must first create a town using the Towny system.
